US Government Selling Guns To The Zeta Drug Cartel

I don't want any of you to be confused by an earlier posting of the ATF operation Fast and Furious - this is not the same operation.  When Captain Kickass took office he pointed out that the drug cartels were getting their weapons from the US because of lax gun laws.  His plans were to tighten restrictions.
The problem with BHO's plan is that (as usual) the facts don't support his claim.  An incarcerated leader of the Zeta cartel has stated that they did get their guns from the US (he got that part right) but that they were supplied through a US State Department program named the US Direct Commercial Sales.  This was set up to track guns sold to foreign countries.
Here is where the problems start:
The Zeta cartel is not a government.  Why is the US government selling them anything?
The guns are being held at land purchased by the cartel in New Mexico before they are flown out of the Fort Worth airport - Oh I didn't mention that this is the same airport used by the DEA to stop the drug running into this country. 
Hmmmmmmm - Things are not really adding up here.

The bottom line is that the DOJ's own internal report on the Gunrunner program shows that the ultimate goal of the entire operation was to manufacture phony statistics in order to make a case for tighter gun control.

WI DNR And The Humane Society Of The United States Partnered

This should cause concern for all hunters, trappers and fishermen throughout the state of Wisconsin.  The WI DNR and the HSUS have joined together to get the word out about the importance of allowing wild animals to remain in their natural habitat.  The HSUS chipped in $6000 dollars for advertisments to get the word out.
 Essentially the WI DNR whored themselves out to an organization that the Charity Navigator has listed as having less trustworthiness than the radical group PETA.  The same organization that the NYT and Wall Street Journal reported that less than one-half of 1% of its budget consists of grants to local animal shelters.
DNR Chief Warden Randy Stark has admitted to being the one that contacted HSUS for the partnership on this issue.  Thank you Randy for inviting the snake into the nest!

I have been getting the emails telling me to be aware of the SB-2099 and Blair Holt bills.  The nice thing about the emails is that it keeps us vigilant and involved but I am here to tell you that these bills are dead.
Keep your eyes peeled for any new horsesh!t bills but if you get any emails forwarded to you about these 2 - you can put them to rest.

This Proves We Can Make A Difference

I recently received an email stating that the government was proposing procedures that would result in the price of ammunition to sky. This is an older story now but I am happy to report that because of public outcry this has been resolved.  
I guess the point of this story is that we can make a difference.

Wisconsin Legislation To Stick It To Gun Owners Again

It appears that a few Republicans in Wisconsin are on the verge of sticking it to the legal gun owners of their own state. This bill will allow mental background checks for gun ownership. You may be thinking that it seems like a good idea to do this but it gives entirely too much weight and power to a psychologist and opinion. This is already used on a federal level to prevent our military veterans (called low level terrorists by our government) from possessing guns and as is the case with all gun legislation it does not pertain to criminals.
