Funny - I was just having a conversation about this the other day. We discussed how an assignment that a student brought home had misspelled words on it but still received a perfect score and that was a little hard for me to comprehend. I was told that teachers don't correct spelling because the most important thing is that they know the answer not that they can spell it. It is amazing what is passed off as an education these days.
