In 2007 Bank of America started a program to get people without social security numbers high interest rate credit cards. Wells Fargo Bank had been giving illegals home mortgages for some time and Bank of America felt that they needed to get in on the action.
If you are wondering how the Bush administration responded to these financial giants violating federal immigration laws - he did what any lifetime politician would do - he tried to get an amnesty bill through. Remember, lifetime politicians want those votes whether they're Republican or Democrat.

When you hear this bit of information doesn't it make you wonder why (when calling the credit card company) you need to verify your card number with the last 4 digits of your social security number?
I have a Bank of America credit card and in researching this through several sites including snopes - verifying that they are (in my opinion) part of the illegal immigration problem - I will be cancelling the card.
