Chicago School Bans Homemade Lunches

Oh yes - you would think that we just have another example of the government knowing how to raise your kids better than you do.  But think about this angle.......
A friend of mine told me how his kid's school made his family fill out the lunch assistance request when they registered him.  He told them he didn't want to fill it out because they wouldn't be accepted and he and his wife would send to school with his lunch. 
To make this long story short - they still made them fill out the request because it isn't about lunches for the kids - it is all about the money.  These schools can request more money per student if they have the forms proving that all parents requested a free lunch. 
Haven't the taxpayers bought enough free lunches in this country?

Andrew J Coulson wrote a paper on The Effects Of Teachers Unions On American Education that ran in the CATO Institute Winter Journal 2010.
I can simpathize with those that don't want to read a 16 page paper with a ton of statistics in it - so if you go to page 12 you can see the summary of his findings.  I do suggest you at least glance at the paper to see the staggering amount of money the NEA & AFT have spent on maintaining their political power.

Wayne Superintendent's $1M Retirement Package Creates Storm

From the it's all about the kids file - here we have another example of taxpayer abuse.  Should the taxpayers of Indiana be more pissed at the school board for allowing this outrageous retirement package than at the recipient?
Under our present government regime - this man's retirement package should be redistributed to the less fortunate thus his retirement package should be a good thing for the nation's poor.
