Theology Of Social Security

Here is an excellent article on how Social Security came to be.  Many of you may not know what role the Christian church played in getting the public to accept the imposition of a payroll tax to keep it solvent.
Tell me if this doesn't still sound familiar today - Throughout the process, appeals were made to American businesses and workers by church leaders to love their neighbors as themselves and to work to bring about an end to the social injustice of not caring for the aged and infirm.  The only difference is that it is not the church spewing this crap anymore.......it is the Liberals!

The Welfare State We Have Become

Entitlement handouts make up 1/3 of the USA wages.  Allow me to think Liberal for just a moment and come up with an answer to keep this welfare state rolling.  We can tax the rich!  If that rich person is Liberal - we will allow him/her to keep his/her money but if they are conservative - we can take everything they have and redistribute it to the Liberal base.  Why?  Because they are evil!
They just can't be paying their fair share if we have poor people in this country.  Look here if you don't believe me.

Is It Time To End Diversity Programs?

Virginia Sen. Jim Webb called for ending government-run diversity programs in Friday's Wall Street Journal.  Take a look at the link and see his reasoning for going against the same voter base that got him elected in 2006.
