"The One" should take credit for lower crime in 2009

The country has been given the good news that crime was down in 2009. I find it hard to believe "The One" has not had a prime time press conference proclaiming he, much like Underdog, has thwarted crime in 2009. It would be the first time in his political career that I would agree with something that came out of his mouth. I believe his ego would not allow him to give Congress any credit but they do deserve a little of it.
Here is my take on why they should take credit:
In January of 2009 gun sales soared because the country feared Congress, having "The One" in their hip pocket, would pass some kind of a ban on firearms. The fact that gun sales stayed up for the entire year shows that the country does not trust the current administration or a Congress that shows no regard for our Constitution or rights. When private citizens have more weapons and criminals are aware of it.....crime goes down.

As a gun owner and supporter of our second amendment I applaud the government for lowering the crime rate.

Now we focus on the criminals in Congress.......read, research and vote them out in 2010!!!

Thought to ponder

Let me get this straight.

We're going to pass a health care plan written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, signed by a president that also hasn't read it, and who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's nearly broke.

What possibly could go wrong?

More government problems.

We are still contracting - More revisions to GDP

The economy is getting better, I heard it on ABC. Good thing too 'cause I just took out a third mortgage to add a wing on my already underwater house. Oh and I bought a couple of toys for my garage. The bosses gave me a rise. My whole department is up over $100,000 a year now. Good thing I work for the fedral government. How are you doing? Hope it's well so we can count on your tax money for my new things. Back to my post. GDP has been revised again for 3rd Quarter. Thats right way down. The info.

Oklahoma: A state that gets it!

The Truth: These new laws in the state of Oklahoma are true.

Oklahoma House bill 1330 authorized a monument resembling the Ten Commandments to be placed in the State Capitol Park in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma House passed a final version of the bill by a vote of 83-2, on April 23, 2009. The Oklahoma Senate had passed it on a vote of 37-9. Click for Pyro Daily Times article.

On April 23, 2009, House Bill 2245 passed in the Oklahoma Senate with a vote of 43 to 0. The Oklahoma Criminal Illegal Alien Rapid Repatriation Act of 2009 "would allow the Oklahoma Department of Corrections to immediately send inmates who are in the country illegally to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation." State Bill 1102 would require that illegal aliens and criminals convicted of a host of misdemeanor crimes submit themselves to DNA sample collection from law enforcement and data to be entered into a federal database. Named after a University of Oklahoma ballet student raped and killed in 1996, the bill was approved April 20, 2009. Click for article.

Oklahoma's House Concurrent Resolution 1028 will give the state sovereignty. The resolution’s author, state Rep. Charles Key, R-Oklahoma City, told reporters, "The point of the resolution is to tell federal lawmakers and the president to stick to their jobs as outlined in the U.S. Constitution and quit handing out federal money to failing companies." House Bill 1025 was passed by the Oklahoma house by a vote 70-8 which would make it a misdemeanor for employers to inquire if job applicants own a gun according to May 13,2009. HB 1025 is on its way to the Senate for a vote. Click for Oklahoman news article.

My questions to "The One".......How can ObamaCare save the nation from bankruptcy when you have made sure it was bankrupt already? Wouldn't this be classified as a scare tactic? I thought you and your party were above something so petty.

"The One" is willing to pay the world $100 billion a year and ask for nothing in return. I had heard that the rest of the world was holding out for $400 billion a year but considering the US can't get a line of credit anymore they should jump on the offer.

I have taken it upon myself to come up with a solution for this problem. We keep our $100 billion a year and we hold our breath for 30 seconds out of every minute. It is easy to do (while you're awake), it's free and it would cut our CO2 emissions in half.

CBO on Medical Loss Ratios

While the liberals have kept the public occupied with their bickering about the public option the CBO has published its findings on Senator Harry Reid's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) amendment to H.R.3590.
It isn't hard to realize why this is sliding under the radar when the CBO states that with the proposed 90% ratio loss it essentially makes the health insurance market a government program.
